In response to public input regarding pet registration, the city implemented changes to the guidelines Nov. 1.
- Three-year registration cycle available if pet has three-year rabies vaccination.
- Residents 65 years of age and older and/or disabled residents must register their pets, but are exempt from registration fees.
- A fine with an uncontested plea is set at $25, plus $58 in court fees.
Fees are the same for both one- and three-year registration, and are as follows:
- $5 – Mirochipped pet
- $10 – Non-microchipped; spayed or neutered
- $15 – Non-microchipped; not spayed or neutered required for registration.
