Fall composting can help ensure a bountiful garden next year. Two compost classes will be available during the month of October, at the Max G. Greiner Environmental Center, at the southeast corner of Conflans and Gilbert roads.
- Oct. 9 – 6 to 8 p.m.
- Oct. 19 – 2 to 4 p.m.
Those interested will only need to attend one of the two sessions.
Students will learn basics about backyard composting, including hot and cold compost pile building, composting using worms, compost applications, and organics and integrated pest control. Students also will receive the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s “Guide to Yard Care.”
