Key Focus Areas |Non-Compliant Apartments
The city is taking a more aggressive approach to cleaning up substandard apartment complexes to increase resident safety.
• Multifamily properties were assessed for minimum compliance, and rated on a scale of 1-4; 4 being the least compliant.
• 20 percent of these properties were classified as being a level 4.
• Of those, 12 properties were identified as having conditions that were detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of their residents.
• Enhance Building and Standards process to include the addition of several new positions.
